Aua Veta

Aua Veta was a successful test run of a social business for which social commitment is the foundation of all efforts. With refreshing ice tea made from local mountain herbs, Aua Veta not only quenches people’s thirst but also gives other people access to clean drinking water. Due to external forces, the business owner had to stop after a successful test run. Thus all implemented design materials were no longer used. The intellectual property of the visual concept is mine and has not been used by any third party so far. If interested please contact.

Water Scarcity

Not having enough water to meet your needs is one of the biggest challenges that countless people worldwide face every day. In Switzerland, in the so-called «water castle», access to clean drinking water has become such a norm that it’s often taken for granted. However, the situation is very different in many places around the world. It is estimated that almost one in ten people does not have access to a safe water source. Today, nearly two billion people live in areas at risk from severe water scarcity, while two-thirds of the global population faces water shortages for at least one month each year. Unsafe water is one of the biggest environmental and health problems in the world, especially for the less privileged, disadvantaged, and discriminated.

Change is possible

There is enough water for everyone if we choose to work together. Many businesses are increasingly moving toward more sustainable practices, and more and more governments are committing to managing water resources, improving water quality, protecting and restoring wetlands, and ensuring that everyone has access to safe drinking water. Yet, we have a long way to go and there’s still tremendous work that needs to be done. Collectively.

Rethinking Consumption

Every day we consume water in such amounts we can’t even imagine. The quantity of water we use for domestic consumption is only a small bit of what we use in total. The biggest part is the water used in the manufacture and distribution of goods consumed on a daily basis. Just the reality that a water bottle uses more water for its manufacturing than the actual content of this bottle shows the absurdity of our economy today.

Aua Veta wants to counteract this damaging trend by launching an alternative product that is not only more environmentally friendly than its competitors, but also healthy. Aua Veta believes in the true potential and success of social business models, which is why all its profits are used for sustainable water projects where they are most needed, instead of benefitting investors.
