About the project
A system concept that enables access to mobility for displaced and underserved communities by providing a simple, locally implementable bicycle infrastructure.
acho is built as an open system – allowing organizations, municipalities, and initiatives to create their own local mobility solutions using a clear framework, minimal resources, and scalable components.
System components
The principle: a simple, self-managed bike sharing logic
The infrastructure: bicycles, repair logic, stations, and mapping
The guide: a handbook enabling local implementation
The design focuses on clarity, neutrality, and accessibility – avoiding stigmatization while allowing recognition and system coherence.
Availability
This concept can be adapted for NGOs, municipalities, and organizations working in mobility, integration, or social infrastructure.
